FlipSquare Blog - Your guide to buying and selling websites & domains

Well, we've been doing plenty of testing within the past month and the FlipSquare decided it's finally time to activate the payment system. Initially, we will be using Paypal as our solution, but may be moving toward a more reputable and flexible solution in the future like SecurePay or Auth.net.

What does this mean for you? It means that all listings are no longer free. Don't let that scare you away, though. We're still very competitively priced and offer a great range of deals.

Even though we've been calling it a beta for a while, we've actually just launched the real beta version of FlipSquare (the old one was truly an Alpha build). We've made some huge enhancements to the navigation and auction management system. We've also added a community/forum component. There is now a prominent search box on the top of every page to help you find what you're looking for. Also, on the homepage you can now select "Latest" or "Expiring" listings which is a major navigation enhancement.

Give it a test drive and let us know what you think. We hope you enjoy the new build and look forward to listing your websites or domains for sale.

A couple of times a week Flip Square will feature some of the best listings in the domain name and established websites categories of our marketplace. There are some pretty good domain names and sites for sale currently and are just waiting for a perfect home.

Established Sites:

1. WordPress Lounge:
   A great wordpress focused blog that has 2,500 visitors per month. Its starting bid is $50 and the buy it now price is $500. Not only that but it has a great domain name. http://www.wordpresslounge.com

2. Alcohol Treatment information site:
   Looks to a solid site with well written original articles, decent traffic and good income potential. The site has already earned $350 and makes $2-$7 per day. The site also has a strong keyword domain. http://www.alcoholtreatmentclinics.com.

As decent-looking and somewhat eye-pleasing the current design of the FlipSquare homepage is, it could always use a few usability enhancements to make things a bit easier on you, the user. That's why I took the time today to come up with a few interface updates to do just that. Click on the image to a full preview of what's in store for everyone this upcoming Friday.

Thanks to everyone who's helped us so far tracking down bugs and giving us feedback/suggestions for making the site better. It's already been quite the learning experience and FlipSquare is improving greatly everyday. Undoubtedly we're becoming more and more in tune with the ideal sale flow when buying and selling websites and domains.

Well, we finally managed to get a blog up and running. This is something we should have done ages ago, but never really managed to jump on it. There are quite a few areas that are still under construction, so please bear with us while I tidy things up over the coming days, weeks and months!
